Results using the MFJ have been impressive to say the least. I have half a roll of hardware cloth left over from reinforcing lower part of the screen on my back porch to keep my dog and cats from tearing their way out. Radial system, as described in previous articles and comments was rather challenge on the flat and narrow roof. I got below SWR on all bands except 80M which came out at but I'm not into 80M right now so was happy with this. It has held up to the beating of an F truck and keeps on going. Follow us on Facebook.

Installing a Hustler 6BTV vertical - manual says not to use ground rod near the antenna?
I understand that the more the radials, the better off I will be I installed about 12 radials of various lengths and tuned the vertical according to the instructions. Adjust the bars up or down to evenly support the wires. But I do know adding more is always better and proper SWR adjustment of the sections. I would recommend installing the antenna on a tilt mount, as this makes it easy for the tuning process.
